At The SPACE, proper attire is essential to ensure safety, comfort, and the ability to perform techniques correctly. Each program has specific requirements, so please review the guidelines below to ensure you're dressed appropriately for your class. 

General Guidelines; All Programs

  • No jewellery or accessories that could pose a safety risk during movement (such as large earrings, necklaces, or watches)

  • Avoid wearing excessive perfume or scented products, as some participants may be sensitive to strong smells

  • Bring any necessary items, such as water bottles or extra hair ties, to ensure you're prepared for your class

Ballet

  • Black Bodysuit

  • Pink Tights

  • Pink Ballet Slippers

  • Hair neatly tied back in a classical bun, no ponytails

  • Ballet skirts allowed but may be distracting for younger dancers

Jazz

  • Bodysuit, any colour

  • Tan Tights

  • Dance shorts are optional

  • Hair secured back in a ponytail or bun

  • Beige jazz shoes

Tap

  • Bodysuit, any colour

  • Tan Tights

  • Dance shorts are optional

  • Hair secured back in a ponytail or bun

  • Black tap shoes

Hip Hop

  • Comfortable, moveable clothing such as sweats, T-shirts, or athletic wear

  • Indoor, non-marking white runners

  • No outdoor shoes

Acro

  • Bodysuit, unitard, or fitted athletic tank and shorts

  • Bare legs to prevent slipping

  • Hair secured back in a ponytail or bun

  • No shoes required

Lyrical & Contemporary

  • Body suitor fitted tank with shorts/leggings

  • Tan tights

  • Hair secured back in a ponytail or bun

  • Beige jazz shoes, foot undies, or bare feet

Combo Classes

  • Bodysuit with pink tights

  • Hair tied back

  • Hair secured back in a ponytail or bun

Stretch & Strength

  • Fitted athletic wear such as leggings or shorts

Music & Art

  • Music: Piano on site, please bring your own guitar
